Review: La Roche-Posay Effaclar Mat!

La Roche-Posay  are a French skincare brand that is readily available in most Boots stores, and are reasonably priced. Their Effaclar Duo seems to have become a bit of a cult product for many, so with oilier skin I decided to give the matt version a whirl.

In basic, the Effaclar line is deisgned for those of us who have numerous imperfections like blocked pores, blemish prone and uneven skin tone, so my skin certainly fits right in there. Effaclar Mat claims it will also control shine throughout the day.

I like the packaging, you cant go wrong with a squeeze top really. I like smell and texture, nothing offensive or unexpected from a facial moisturiser, and I like the clinical feel of the brand.

The only problem, and quite a big one, is that it doesn't control my shine! I don't have the oiliest of skins and I find myself oiler in this than when using a regular moisturiser. I haven't felt that the texture or appearance of my skin has really improved and so I personally wouldn't recommend it I'm afraid!

I have the original Effaclar Duo and will do a review after I've got through some of the other things I'd like to get through first.
