Lush Stash: Soaps! (+storage tips)

Today's post is on all of the lush soaps that I currently own. I'm usually one of these people that only buy a new product when I've used what I previously owned, however when it comes to Lush..... exceptions can be made!

At one stage, I had about 7 different Lush soaps, and the smells all began to blend together so they all smelt of the strongest one. Since then I've got my number down and learnt to store them better. Here is my collection.

1) Honey I Washed The Kids
Lush Honey I Washed The Kids Soap

The first soap I'll talk about is Honey I Washed The Kids as it's the one I'm currently using. It is a cult product, many people love it's delicious honey scent and claim that it's the most moisturising of the Lush soaps. It comes with a honeycomb detailing layer on the top, but it's neither use nor ornament as it just falls off either when you first take it out the wrapping or use it for the first time. Do I love it? No. Would I repurchase? Probably. I like the smell of it but honey isn't my favourite kind of smell and I don't find it particularly moisturising, but it is a nice thing to own.

2) Rockstar
Lush Rockstar Soap

This is the first Lush soap I ever tried. It's a lovely candy floss crossed with fruit, sweet smell. I am in love with the fragrance as it's not too heavy but it's still noticeable when using it. I also wouldn't say this is super moisturising either... All Lush soaps tend to leave the same squeaky clean feeling. I've had numerous ones of these over the years and intend to have more after this chunk.

3) Snowglobe
Lush Snowglobe Soap

This is a Christmas soap that I received in a giftbox. I'd have never chosen this for myself as it isn't the typical kind of scent I go for, but I've gone through a whole one and repurchased! It's supposed to smell of grapefruit and summer fruits to banish you're winter blues. It's super fresh smelling and I'm not sure what grapefruit smells of but it's probably this! Same kind of after feeling as all Lush soaps, but on the whole, lovely! As it's only available during Christmas, I think I'll probably repurchase then if I've used this one up, if not I'll try something else.

4) Gingerman
Lush Gingerman Soap

This is the cutest of the soaps! It's shaped like a gingerbread man (although I've took his head off)! I was disappointed with this purchase though as I was hoping he'd smell like gingerbread, however he smells of pure ginger. I don't have anything against the fragrance but it's not what I wanted, so I wouldn't buy it again. Even so, I quite like him in small doses as it's quite a strong scent. In the plastic packaging, he slides around and feels quite greasy but once again it's not moisturising. I got this last summer at a Lush event (Creamy candy body lotion limited edition release) and I've looked online and can't find him.

STORAGE

A lot of people say that they have trouble storing their Lush soaps so that they don't melt. I find that the perfect way is in one of their Body Butter Tins. Depending on the size of your soap you'll have to cut it down to fit, but once in the tin, it's waterproof and won't melt. When you put the soap back after use, try tip out any excess water.
