On a daily basis, I'd say the part of my make up that I change up the most is my lipstick. I love having red lips one day, nude the next. I'm not afraid to wear any shade during the day. But as I like to buy these outrageous shades, I often find I dislike the shade and end up giving it away, meaning I always stick to the cheaper (under £10) budget.. I've always wanted a luxury lipstick and when I went on holiday in October, I cracked in duty free.
Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupte 13 Peach is a beautiful shade of pastel peach that is super wearable but more eye catching than any other light shade I've came across.

The packaging is beautiful. Its a shiny gold colour with a band in the centre with the colour of the shade of the lipstick. The lid clicks into place very satisfyingly and won't fall off. You can turn the lipstick up and down with no problems, and it won't scrape the sides of the product, leaving you with a lipstick mess. The lipstick also weights a nice amount; the perfect weight that screams 'I'm expensive' without being too heavy.

The formula of the lipstick is like no other. Its a creamy finish with no shimmer at all and is SO pigmented. One light swipe on the lips will provide all the colour and product you need. It melts on contact with your skin, and is unbelievably smooth and hydrating so if you're having a dry lips day, no one needs to know! It hasn't got the cheap lipstick smell either.

As you can see from the swatch, It's also shiny in a not gloopy lipgloss kind of way. I hate lipgloss with a passion, and this is nothing like the finish or feel of a lipgloss. It's so hard to explain how amazing this feels on the lips! It tastes slightly sweet and fruity too.

Hopefully you can see how beautiful this shade really is, and how amazing the formula is. I would happily own only YSL rouge volupte lipsticks if it were not for the extortionate £23.50 price tag! I think they're worth the splurge if you see a colour you fall in love with, or for a nude every day shade, or even a going out shade, but I shan't be rushing to get too many more, I really can't afford to!
Available wherever YSL is sold!
