Quick Tip: Lining the Water Line!

Today I'd like to share with you a little tip for lining your water line and making it last a lot longer.

It can be really annoying to have to constantly apply whatever shade of eyeliner to the waterline, and as soon as you've done it, you can see it starting to fade all over again. The following method really works for me, and means I don't have to worry about when I'm next going to be able to touch up my make up.

Step 1: Dry the water line
  • Gently run a q-tip along the line until all moisture is gone. This will help any product really cling to the skin, rather than the moisture.
Step 2: Apply the liner
  • Apply the liner that you would usually use, whether it be gel or pencil, black or white.
Step 3: Powder
  • Apply a powder product with a stiff or fluffy eye brush to lock it in. You're best off choosing an eyeshadow colour simular to the liner that has no shimmer (as shimmer may irritate the eyes), however regular face powder can be used instead. Be sure to apply only a tiny bit.
Step 4: Blott
  • If your eyes being to water, tilt your head to the side and use the q-tip to soak up the excess moisture.
Voila! This method will keep eye liner on for a lot longer so you won't need to touch up as often. This can irritate the eyes, so if you have dry and irratable eyes this may not be suitable for you, in which case just skip the powder.
