Review: BarryM Lip Paints!

As a little girl, I was always dipping into my mum's makeup bag when she wasn't looking to sneakly put some lipstick or eyeshadow on when she wasn't looking. I always denied everything, regardless of the fact that my lips were about 6 times bigger and bright red! My mum then bought me my first makeup item; a BarryM Lip Paint, which was the start of my love for cosmetics!

Being only about 7 or 8 years old, I chose a baby pink colour that didn't suit my skin colour at all...It made me look ill! Years later, I decided to dip into these Lip Paints again.

The pakaging is very nice and compact looking, not something that I'd be embarressed to get out of my handbag infront of people. As for size, this is how it compare to a Revlon Colourburst lipstick and a Maybelline Colour Sensational lipstick:

Quite a bit smaller but it have roughly the same amount of product in, so no unecessary packaging! The colours I have are 'Touch of Magic' Green, 54 Peach and 52 Shocking Pink.

Green, 54, 42

Green, 54, 42
The green lip paint is a sheer red tone that is supposed to adapt depending on the pH of your lips. I love the colour of it on my lips as it's a 'your lips but more red' kind of shade, however I find it to be the same colour everytime, regardless of whether I've just ate something acidic. It's nice and moisturing, doesn't cling to any dry parts in my lips and has average wear but leave a slight pretty stain on your lips.

The next shade I have is 54 Peach. Its a very VERY opaque orange shade, theres no peach about it. It isn't the most wearable shade but it's very pretty under a pink gloss during the summer, or sheered out with a lip balm. It has a creamy almost matte finnish with no shimmer. This however does accentuate any dryness in my lips so I'd advise using something to exfoliate your lips before applying. Very long wearing but at the cost of being drying. As long as you have a good lip balm like Carmex, this shouldn't be a problem.

Finally, 54 Shocking Pink. This has the exact formula of 52 Peach. Opaque, long wearing and drying. The shade is amazing on all skin tones and is the perfect bright pink in my opinion, it has the perfect balance of warm and cool. I bought this after seeing Dannii Minogue's lipstick on the X-Factor and it really does look identicle. I'd say this lipstick can be worn during the day and night if you aren't afraid of bright colours during the day, but it can be sheered out beautifully.

Overall, I would reccomend the green lip paint to anyone with any skin tone, however even though I love the other two, I'd be more cautious with them as they take a bit of work to make them perfect.
