Review: Olay Double Action Nourishing & Protecting Day Cream!

I picked up this cream about a month and a half ago by accident; I meant to get the night cream version, but I'm glad I made this mistake as otherwise I probably never would have tried this product!

Olay Double Action Nourishing & Protecting Day Cream comes in a nice thick plastic, screw top pot of 50ml. Well, it came in a box too, but I threw that out. It's nice and simple and durable packaging. This day cream claims to be for normal/dry skin.

It has a light talcum powder smell that isn't too strong, although personally I'd have preferred it to be fragrance free. The cream has a lovely thick feeling, but melts into the skin and soaks in beautifully. It feels cooling and extremely moisturising without feeling oily at all.

I have combination skin with an extremely oily t-zone, but really dry patches around my jaw and chin, yet even though this isn't targeted at me, it works really well. I find that at the end of the day, my make up still looks good when I use this compared to other day creams I have used. It really is a delight to use this. The finish is almost matt and once absorbed, it is undetectable on the skin.

Even though I meant to get the night cream almost two months ago, I still haven't gotten around to buying it (which is probably a good thing as I have't used my other one up yet), I definitely will soon!

Available at drugstores and supermarkets for around £5-£8, it fluctuates quite a bit in price.
