Review: Charles Worthington Mineral Hair Rescue Masque!

With my hair being as damaged as it is from a cocktail permanent dyes and bleach, I've been searching for a good hair mask and treatment. Along the way to my HG (holy grail) hair moisturiser, I found the Charles Worthington Mineral Hair Rescue Masque.

Charles Worthington Mineral Hair Rescue Masque

The mask claims to be an 'intensive spa inspired treatment, enriched with natural moisturiser Argan Oil' aswell as minerals and proteins and will 'help to restore dry and damaged hair'.

This treatment can be used in place of a regular conditioner as a treat from your hair or longer if you have the time. I usually shampoo my hair as soon as I get in the shower then apply the mask, use a wide toothed comb to help make sure all of my hair is coated, leave it for about 5minutes whilst I do use shower gel etc, then wash it out.

There's 150ml in the jar, and I'd say it will last quite a long time. There's enough for about 10 applications on my long and thick hair, so it shouldn't run out in too quickly. It smells really nice, but not too much. It lingers on the hair ever so slightly in a good way.

As for what this product does for my hair, it varies. It makes your wet hair feel so silky smooth then you're in the shower and once you've dried your hair, its much more manageable and softer. However the results don't last until the following day, and as I wash my hair every other day, this is a little bit of a problem for me. I want a hair mask to last at least one wash before the effects of it are gone, and this doesn't even last one day! It doesn't weight my hair down and it doesn't give a greasy effect.

I think that my hair is beyond this product's repairing powers. If my hair was less dead and battered, I reckon this would be the end of my search, but as it is, I shall continue.

I would recommend this product to anyone who hasn't got super damaged hair, or anyone with fine hair wanting a mask that won't weigh hair down.

Charles Worthington Mineral Hair Rescue Masque is available in Boots and Superdrug (probably other places too) in the UK for RRP £5.69.
