Review: Avene Eau Thermale Spring Water!

Today's review is on the Avene Eau Thermale Thermal Spring Water, bit of a  mouthful there! It is a spray can containing spring water. Thats a it. Well, plus a bit of nitrogen, but there are no other ingredients. The spray claims to be suitable for sensitive skin as it is 'soothing' and 'anti-irritanting'.

This spray says that it can be used for:
    50ml Can
  • diaper rash
  • irritations
  • razor burn
  • after hair removal
  • to set makeup
  • on sunburn
  • to reduce facial redness
  • after exercise
  • in summer
  • during travel

The spray is avail in 3 different sizes; 50ml, 150ml, 300ml. I was sceptical about this product so I bought the 50ml.

The can (or bottle, it seems odd to have water in a can), has a good cap on it so theres no danger of the product leaking or the cap falling off so it could be carried in your handbag or during travel with no worries. The mist of the spray is quite 'dropet-y'.

It seemed like a fine mist when I tested it in the shop, however when I tried it on my face, it left me drenched!
Here's a picture of when I sprayed the can onto a smooth surface and ran my finger through it:

Ths isn't the clearest photo in the world, but it does show what the spray really does. If you put that over your makeup, it's going to run down your face (and yes, i've tried it)!

I haven't tested this on sun burn (theres snow on the ground right now in the UK), but I do think it would sooth it quite nicely, aswell as most other skin irritations. I tried use right after shaving and hair removal cream, just before body butter and it really helps that to sink into my skin quickly.

The spray relieves any tightness that you may have but then again, so does water from a tap. I wanted to use this on my face during the day as a pick-me-up but it left little droplet marks in my foundation. I most use this before applying my moisturiser at night, right after toner.

Evian also does a version of this called Evian Atomizer which is available in 50ml for £3.49 and 150ml for £6.99. I haven't tried this yet, but I will review it once I have.

Overall, I wouldn't say this spray would change your life, or really make any changed to your skin, but it is a nice little luxury to have around the house. I would repurchase this for that reason.

I'm not sure about worldwide availability, but this is available in Boots in the UK.

RRP: £3.15 for 50ml, £6.50 for 150ml. Not sure about 300ml.
(a little cheaper than the Evian one)
